The Santa Barbara County Education Office Education Preparation programs equip our county’s educators to be reflective practitioners and leaders committed to continuous improvement, competent in the implementation of research-based best practices, and advocates of inclusive practices and equitable conditions to ensure positive student outcomes.
CASC is the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC)- accredited clear administrative services phase of the credential program to support the ongoing growth and development of our county’s newest leaders. The program provides candidates with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to be successful leaders in today’s high stakes educational environment.
PASC is designed for professionals who are seeking an administrative position in a school, district, or county setting, or for teachers who desire to expand their leadership capacity. PASC is a state-accredited program designed to provide candidates with the practical and research-based framework effective educational leaders need to meet the demands of the 21st-century learning environment. Program instructors are current or former site and district administrators who possess deep knowledge and understanding of effective instructional leadership and school management.
TIP is a two-year, state-accredited induction program intended to ease new teachers’ transition into the profession, accelerate teacher effectiveness and enhance teacher retention. We offer general education and special education teachers who hold a Preliminary Multiple Subjects, Preliminary Single Subject, or Preliminary Education Specialist Credentials the opportunity to fulfill the requirements for the California Clear Credential.
