Battle of the Books is a voluntary reading program for students in 4th through 8th grade that encourages reading books from a designated Battle of the Books list. Students then have fun competing in Battle of the Books events by answering questions about plot, characters, and theme.

SBCEO will host three Battle of the Books events in 2023, an Individual Elementary Battle of the Books: a Team Elementary Battle of the Books, and an Individual Junior High Battle of the Books.

DATES & LOCATION:

• April 19, 2023, Virtual Event

TIME:

• 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with Zoom logon beginning at 9:50 a.m.

COST PER STUDENT:

• $7 with Portal Contract
• $12 without Portal Contract

GRADES:

• For students, grades 4-6

DATES & LOCATION:

• April 27, 2023, SBCEO Auditorium

TIME:

• 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m.
  • NOTE: There will be a break to eat lunch, but lunch is not provided.

COST PER STUDENT:

• $7 with Portal Contract
• $12 without Portal Contract

GRADES:

• For students, grades 4-6
